You make us want to be a better wine.

JUICE

Sourced from California’s iconic Paso Robles AVA, the fruit that goes into First Sight Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc is entirely CCOF-certified organic, making it compliant with USDA standards for organic agriculture. This means no nasty synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers showing up to ruin the party.

First Sight wines are also Sustainability in Practice (SIP) certified, meaning the vineyards that grow our fruit have consistently demonstrated a commitment to sustainability across three distinct categories: economic viability, environmental stewardship and social equity.

LABELS

We know they say it shouldn’t matter what’s on the outside, but we’re willing to make an exception when the outside is just as good as the inside. Every First Sight label is printed on GTREE™ paper stock made from 100% post-consumer waste pulp that has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council™. Through our partnership with G3 Label Group, we are meeting our sustainability goals while supporting companies committed to reducing their environmental impact. You could say it’s the perfect match.

CORKS

Get ready to have your mind blown: cork comes from trees… we know, crazy, right? As you let that settle in, we hope you’re asking yourself, “How can cork be sustainable if it’s made from trees?” So glad you asked: First Sight has partnered with VINC to procure natural cork that supports water retention, fire prevention and soil conservation in every cork forest it harvests. Not only that, but VINC promises a negative carbon footprint in the production of every single one of its corks. Not too shabby!

GLASS

Sometimes, less is more. Like how all First Sight bottles use lighter glass molds that require less material per unit. Because our bottles weigh 10% less than a conventional bottle of the same size, less energy is needed for transportation and the associated carbon emissions are reduced. Less of the bad and more of the good.

CAPSULES

Life’s too short to hold onto things that don’t make you happy. That’s why we ditched those pesky foil capsules! Not only were they slowing us down on our way to fabulous wine, but in reality, capsules don’t actually serve a purpose beyond decoration. Why would we want to hold on to something we don’t need that’s just going to end up in a landfill or one of our oceans? No, thank you.
